First Baptist Church was founded May 4, 1874. The church has continued to reach the lost for the cause of Christ and equip believers for the ministry. We support 26 missionaries around the world. We are an independent, fundamental, conservative Baptist Church.
Our services incorporate a traditional worship style. Our music consists of hymns and conservative worship songs. Pastor Jim preaches from the Word of God out of the New King James Bible. His messages are Bible-centered, exegetical, and practical. He uses multiple styles of preaching- narrative, theological, and traditional. Currently for the Sunday morning service, he is preaching first person narratives that tells the Bible story from the eye of the witness; this is an exciting way to learn for children and adults. For Sunday School and Wednesday evening services, he provides detailed outlines for the messages so that everyone can follow along.
